Tasty Tuesday: Ginataang Mais

Ginataang Mais is a Filipino dessert and snack made from whole kernel corn and coconut milk. This is a simple and quick Filipino dessert recipe that only takes less than 30 minutes to prepare.

Here are the ingredients:


COOKING PROCEDURES:
1. Combine water and glutinous rice in a cooking pot then turn on the heat. Let it boil.
2. Once it is boiling, stir the mixture to prevent the glutinous rice from sticking. Set the heat to low and let the rice cook while stirring once in a while. This will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
3. Add the white sugar, whole kernel corn, coconut milk and cook for 5-10 minutes.(You can add condensed milk for creamier taste)
4. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve.
5. Share and enjoy!

 
You can enjoy it for breakfast or afternoon snack. Since it is packed with carbs, this can be a good meal before starting to do something that involves a lot of physical work.
