Weekend Wrap Up: Turning Down

Friday night, I went to my mom's house in Marikina. It's been awhile since the last time I visited them and I must say - I really missed Momcy, Pretty and Sha.
Popoy and the gang drove me to the office. By the way, he's newly groomed.

I requested for my shift to be moved (11pm-8am). I forgot that I should be attending Parents' orientation on Saturday at 8am. Hindi ako nakapunta. 1 point.

On that same day, I was invited to a dedication. My best friend in elementary days asked me to be a godmother to her daughter. However, for some reasons I decided not to go. I've realized, I was still not ready to see people from the past. (Hanggang dito na lang. Can't tell too much info.)

Sayang. 2 points.

I was looking forward to it. I'm planning to meet them privately, if their schedules permit.

Saturday pa rin -- some of my cousins were inviting us to attend one of our cousin's wedding in Tarlac. May sasakyan naman daw. Mag-hahati-hati nalang kame sa gasolina. So, go! Sabi nila, aalis daw kame ng 6pm. Natulog ako agad para mag-recharge. When I woke up around 5 pm, canceled na. Hindi daw pwede yung sasakyan. Magastos naman kung magco-commute kame. Sayang ulit. 3 points.

I borrowed them from one of the bride's relatives. Wala pa kasi yung official photos.

Pretty was one of the flower girls. Momcy on the other hand was one of the ninangs.

Lastly, eto ang pinaka masakit. I have two tickets to Kalibo. Para samen dapat dalawa ni Duz. Matagal ko na yun nabili and I got them for P2,300 (back and forth for 2 pax). Murang mura di ba?

Yet, plans have changed.

I checked Air Asia's website.
Yung isang araw ng leave ko without pay na at matatanggalan ako ng attendance incentive for the month of July. More or less, mawawalan ako ng 3k.
On top of that, it will cost us around 5k para sa miscellaneous which is not within our budget.
Lessons learned:
I've learned the hard way.

Masakit. Malungkot. Lalo na, excited si Alejandrino at Chloe dahil first time sana nila makakasakay ng airplane.
Matagal namen pinag-isipan yan. I prayed for God's guidance. Last minute, we decided to let it go.
2 years ago, we were in the same situation. Pinilit namen gumastos ng malaki para matuloy ang grand vacation namen when in reality we were not financially ready. Ayun, nag-suffer kame afterwards. This time, I want to choose the other way. It’s much better to go out less often and save money, than to spend money you don’t have.
God must have better plans, right?
This week, we'll have extra day off on Friday so it will be a long weekend for us. We'll think of alternatives: picnic, mini getaway or staycation. Something inexpensive but fun.
How about you guys? Have you let go something recently?

How do you plan your future vacation? Tips naman diyan :)

  2. We are not ready too to travel with the kids kasi doble talaga yung gastos so pinagpapaliban tlaga muna namin.

    1. True sis. Kaya I always tell my friends who are still single to travel.
