Playdate

Last Saturday, my friends from a previous company scheduled a playdate. What's playdate?

Play date or playdate is an expression primarily used in the US for an arranged appointment for children to get together for a few hours to play. via

My bestfriend Leah came all the way from Paranaque. Chloe and I traveled all the way from Fairview.

We stayed at Andy's place in Mandaluyong. Siya kasi yung nasa gitna eh. Hehe.

After Friday Shift (Saturday morning), I tried to sleep muna para may energy. In fairness, marunong naman mag mix and match si Alejandrino. Look at Chloe :)

Eto pa.

They just woke me up nung ready na sila Chloe. It took us almost two hours bago makarating sa bahay nila.

We stayed there just for an hour.

Chloe and Marcia know each other na kasi nung maliit pa sila, magkapit-bahay pa kame, they used to play together.

Andy's kids: Anika (2 y/o) and Ken-Ken (1 y/o).

Ate Leah and Andy were my colleagues at Sykes. Batchmate kame. We stayed together during the one month training. Right after training, nag-quit si Andy. After 6 months, nag-resign naman si Ate Leah. Kung tutuisin, saglit lang talaga kame nagkasama but the friendship continues.

Ate Leah who's a full time mom is busy taking care of her daughters. Breastfeed pa kasi yung bunso niya.

Andy naman recently resigned from work and now a full time mom too.

Kainggit noh. Parang gusto ko rin maging full time mom. Pero WAHM siguro. Tulungan niyo ko sa prayers ha. In 2-3 years from now, I want to be a work-at-home mom. Let's declare that!

Anyway, the one hour playdate was exciting. Exciting in a sense na may, tumatawa, may umiiyak, may nagta-tantrums, may nag-aagawan ng candies, may nagbabatuhan ng toys.  Haha.

I remember Chloe speaking in English. Minsan minsan lang namen kinakausap in English. Kaya niya rin pala makipag-sabayan, if the situation calls for it. Woohoo. Bravo!

At 6pm, we left Andy's place. Nung nasa tricycle na kame ni Ate Leah, she told me "Ems ikaw mag-bayad ha." Oo naman ako. Maya-maya, nagri-ring ung cp ko.

Andy: Em, may naiwan dito.

Hehe. Sorry Ate Leah. :)

I told Chloe never do that again kung ayaw niyang maglakad kame pauwi.

That's it! Pancit.
