I was on leave last December 24th. Unfortunately, I was sick that day. I slept in the morning after drinking meds, woke up, ate and slept again.
Would you believe, at 8pm of Christmas' eve - my family was sound asleep.
Oh by the way, you might be wondering what's our "handa" for Noche Buena.
Oh, I pray ganyan na rin karami ang handa namen sa Christmas Eve next year :)
At may ganito rin...
But I thank God, we had chicken, mojos and softdrinks that night. Nothing extravagant.
But God taught me how to be grateful in all circumstances. Ang mahalaga, magkakasama kame ng pamilya ko. Wala naman yan sa dami ng handa. Kung masaya at may kapayapaan ang puso ko - I'd say this is the best Noche Buena of my life.
I decided to give my body a rest so on Christmas Day, we can make "gala".
After recharging, around 2 am of Thursday (Dec/25), I was up and busy doing a mini general cleaning. Inantay ko lang magising ang mag-ama ko and then off to Pasig na kame.
We rode a bus from Commonwealth to Shaw. Ang anak ko, nakatulog pa. Haha. #reallife
My favorite cousine, Ate Lanie gave Chloe a bag. In front of their house is a park where Chloe playes with her cousins most of the time during our stay there. Ayun nawala. Sayang :(
We ate and sang or hearts out. There were games and pa-agaw.
That's it. That day was so simple yet so meaningful because I had few realizations.
Tip: kung walang pang-handa - maki-Christmas sa kapitbahay or kamag-anak. Laking tipid. Hehe... :)
But seriously, let's all be thankful for what we have - big or small.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
