Weekend Project: Ginataang Mais

Every week, I will try to share a recipe or two. Last Saturday, I asked Dadi Duz to cook Ginataang Mais. This is one of my favorite Filipino meriendas. It's very easy to cook.

1/4 kilo malagkit (P20)
Gata (P30)
Corn (P20)
1/4 white sugar (P15)

  • In a pot, combine glutinous rice and water.
  • Simmer to boil until tender.
  • Stir occasionally to avoid sticking on the pan.
  • Add coconut milk and let it boil.
  • Add sugar and corn.
  • Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Stir continuously until you get the consistency you prefer.

This will make 5-6 servings.
